Mission: Completed! All rejoice, for this Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe was an unbelievable success. I even daresay that my absolute favorite Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe has finally met its match! I had never used brown butter in a recipe before, but I knew that its rich caramel, nutty flavor was just what my cookie palette craved. Browning butter can be tricky, but I was amazingly overjoyed when this recipe turned out so beautifully, not to mention fulfilling my cookie “type” of having a soft, chewy, and buttery texture. When I first started “At 350 Degrees”, my mom made a WordPress account so she could comment on my recipe posts. Her account picture was  a gorgeous, half-eaten stack of these chocolate peppermint surprise cookies. I had shown her the recipe because I knew, from her love of Peppermint Patties, of her favorite flavor combination: chocolate and mint. Continue reading

PicMonkey, a free photo editing site contacted me a few weeks ago to start a membership trial. When I’ve searched for recipes on Pinterest in the past, I always admired the decorative pictures with cool fronts and titles, so I decided this was the perfect time to try a new level of editing  my pictures. If you’re an observant follower, you might’ve already noticed this new interest with the updated header and picture on the homepage of “At 350 Degrees”. (My Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies do look pretty delicious, if I do say so myself!) Continue reading

Hi, my name is Carissa and I’m an Oreo addict. I mean, what would be the point of frozen yogurt if you couldn’t drown swirls of vanilla bean froyo in crushed Oreos?! These cookie’s facts really are fun because I love looking at each country’s own special Oreo flavors like China’s Green Tea Oreos, Argentina’s Oreo Alfajors, and Mexico’s Oreo Trio Chocolates. I honestly don’t know what makes an Oreo so delicious, but to make me stray away from my strict acceptance of only soft and chewy cookies, an Oreo must be something specialContinue reading

Chewy Chocolate Chip Banana Cookies

I have a bit of an obsession when it comes to bananas..and once they start to turn banana-bread-ready brown, I absolutely cannot stop myself from using them in a baked good. My usual go-to recipe is Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, but even my friends have become a little tired of my usual fix! So, as an alternative I decided to search for a banana cookie recipe (which is surprisingly hard to find), and after pages of Foodgawker research, I eventually came across these delicious looking chocolate chip banana oatmeal cookies. But, this is not just any cookie recipe, it’s my mom’s favorite cookie recipe: Linzer cookies! These cookies always remind me of traditional bakery cookies packaged in those special pink boxes, especially sprinkled with a pound of powdered sugar. Continue reading
