It’s almost Thanksgiving! (AKA time to stuff yourselves until your pants can’t button anymore…) Personally, I’d rather pass on all the traditional dishes and head straight for dessert, so here are a few of my favorite pumpkin recipes to make for you and your family to enjoy! I enjoy fall for two main reasons: wearing rain boots and eating pumpkin baked goods. Pumpkin is most acceptable during the autumn months, so I’ve decided to make the most of this sweet and spicy flavor while it’s welcome!

Happy (early) Memorial Day! Tomorrow we remember the men and women who gave up their lives while fighting for our safety. Our barbecues celebrate and honor their lives, but while most people are concerned with deciding between hot dogs or hamburgers, I choose dessert! Other than Twinkies and s’mores, what could be more American than Apple Pie…or at least just pie?! Therefore, here are some American pie classics to serve tomorrow at BBQ’s of your own! Enjoy!

Oreo Recipe Roundup!

Hello! I’m finally back from my Spring Break vacation, so in order to make up for lost time, I’m back with an epic recipe roundup. I just found a video (below) celebrating Oreo’s 101th birthday–Oreo’s Birthday Extravaganza! In honor of this momentous event, the Internet complied hundreds of facts about this amazing cookie. Not only is Oreo the most popular cookie sold internationally, but it is also the oldest cookie (alongside Girl Scout Cookies)…And what’s even better than an Oreo itself?

Blog of the Year 2012 Award

Thank you so much to my friend Fae for nominating me for the Blog of 2012 Award! 2012 has been very exciting for me because it was the year that I started at350degrees! When I started this blog, I had no idea that I would be able to share my recipes and stories with such an amazing and caring community, so I would like to thank all of my fellow bloggers for their support and feedback. Since the “grand opening” of at350degrees, it has gotten over 1,400 likes and attracted 380 followers! (I was so surprised and excited to find these stats!) 

Chocolate Covered Honeycomb

Hi, everyone! I apologize for the lack of recent posts, but this week was my first full week back at school–oh, the horror! Fortunately I had saved some recipes so that I could quickly post them during the school year, for between my full course load and extracurriculars, I must  force myself not to bake! (Although, I did bake my famous Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies for the first day of school, which were undoubtably appreciated by tired brains mourning a relaxing summer.) I’ve recently become very interested in making candy because it’s very similar to a chemical lab in science class. I made these chocolate-covered honeycombs, my fastest recipe yet, which turned out crunchy and delicious! I had never eaten honeycomb before, but being one of my mom’s favorite candies, they most definitely lived past her expectations; the honeycomb was light, sweet, and airy. And of course, how could anything dipped in chocolate go wrong? Enjoy!

1. My younger sister and I could not be more different; she dreams of becoming a famous pop singer, while I’m set on becoming a plastic surgeon.
2. I would be lost without post-its and Bic plastic pens! (The black pens are my good luck charms on tests!)
3. Instead of watching Spongebob or Tom & Jerry on television, I used to watch open heart surgeries and brain biopsies.
4. I know every Greek mythology story by heart! I used to beg my dad to read them to me before bed every night.
5. My best friend and I have known each other for over 10 years…We’re family by now!
6. My TV guilty pleasures are Grey’s Anatomy and True Blood. The marathons are so addicting!
7. My baking motto: You can’t go wrong with some butter and Paula Deen!
