Mission: Completed! All rejoice, for this Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe was an unbelievable success. I even daresay that my absolute favorite Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe has finally met its match! I had never used brown butter in a recipe before, but I knew that its rich caramel, nutty flavor was just what my cookie palette craved. Browning butter can be tricky, but I was amazingly overjoyed when this recipe turned out so beautifully, not to mention fulfilling my cookie “type” of having a soft, chewy, and buttery texture. Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies
Welcome to the “Cookie Series” entry #4, another stop on my quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie! Because I’ve been so excited to try new recipes and I have a slightly obsessive personality (thank you, dad), just this week I’ve made five different cookie doughs (but only 2 of which were successful batches that I would fully recommend and post)! I had issues with wrong flour measurements, broken egg yolks, and baking disasters, but here I present a delicious, decadent, definitely not disappointing cookie recipe that’s a Mrs. Fields secret! Sally’s Chocolate Chip Cookies
I’ve been looking back to my roots…To cookies, that is. My all-time favorite Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe is by far my most famous dessert. Regardless of my 5-layer cakes or fancy pastries, my cookies take the blue ribbon as the “fan-favorite”. So, when I found this YouTube video (below) about the science behind cookies, I was intrigued to investigate my ultimate cookie recipe, courtesy of the fabulous Martha Stewart. Continue reading
Chocolate Peppermint Surprise Cookies
When I first started “At 350 Degrees”, my mom made a WordPress account so she could comment on my recipe posts. Her account picture was a gorgeous, half-eaten stack of these chocolate peppermint surprise cookies. I had shown her the recipe because I knew, from her love of Peppermint Patties, of her favorite flavor combination: chocolate and mint. Continue reading
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
I enjoy fall for two main reasons: wearing rain boots and eating pumpkin baked goods. Pumpkin is most acceptable during the autumn months, so I’ve decided to make the most of this sweet and spicy flavor while it’s welcome! Continue reading
Pumpkin Spice Biscotti
The “PSL”, or Pumpkin Spice Latte, is the go-to fall drink of choice for the majority of my peers. Surprisingly, I’m not a fan of the sugary festivities inside a Starbucks holiday cup; however, I do, enjoy a similar sweet and spicy flavor in my baked goods. My sister loves crispy, crunchy foods, so it’s no surprise that she loves biscotti cookies, including these Pumpkin Spice ones! Continue reading
Chocolate Twist Cookies (Upgraded Black & White Cookies)
PicMonkey, a free photo editing site contacted me a few weeks ago to start a membership trial. When I’ve searched for recipes on Pinterest in the past, I always admired the decorative pictures with cool fronts and titles, so I decided this was the perfect time to try a new level of editing my pictures. If you’re an observant follower, you might’ve already noticed this new interest with the updated header and picture on the homepage of “At 350 Degrees”. (My Soft & Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies do look pretty delicious, if I do say so myself!) Continue reading
Chocolate Hazelnut French Macarons (Penn Appetit #2!)
During the summer, my Brownie Skillet Cake was featured on University of Pennsylvania’s student-run food magazine Penn Appetit. Today, I’m very excited to announce my second submission: Chocolate Hazelnut French Macarons. This dessert contains a huge “wow”-factor, so check out the delicious post below! Continue reading
Cinnamon Sugar Mandel Bread (Almond Biscotti)
In celebration of Jewish New Year this month, I went back to the basics to make traditional cinnamon sugar mandel bread (aka mandelbrot). Every year, I would eagerly wait for my cousin in Chicago to send them to us in the mail, reserving a whole bag just for myself! A few years later, I tried baking these cookies myself, and I realized how similar they are to an Italian biscotti in flavor, texture, and recipe. So, if you liked my previous Chocolate Dipped Almond Biscotti or Double Chocolate Pistachio Biscotti posts, this is the recipe for you! Continue reading
Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies (Using Coconut Oil)
When I start a new school year, I like to begin with a clean slate: an organized room, a new planner, and healthy lunches. So, sorry for those of you craving chocolate ganache and Nutella buttercream frosting, but my attempt at a healthy streak continues! Continue reading
