My favorite part of winter break is waking up late to enjoy leisurely breakfasts, my all-time favorite meal! I love eating breakfast foods at all times of the day, so naturally I was attracted to this delectable Cinnamon Toast recipe that I found recently. Because there’s no better time for a midnight snack than between writing an endless amount of college essays, this sweet treat tasted especially delicious! Continue reading

Homemade Cronuts (Penn Appetit #3!)
A donut and a croissant walked into a bar……And soon after, their lovechild the cronut was born!
I challenge myself to bake almost all desserts, but I stop myself when it comes to frying. That means no donuts or churros for me, but obviously I strayed from my rule when it came to making cronuts. I had first tried one while out shopping because as sale promotion, the department store passed around a shiny platter of assorted cronuts. ( And I certainly didn’t pass up free dessert!) Baked Banana Bread Pudding (Skinny)
Today, I had to take a round of SAT Subject tests. While it’s not the ideal way to start off the weekend, it is an excuse to eat an extraordinarily delicious breakfast! So, I combined some of my favorite things–banana and french toast–for this AH-MAZING baked banana bread pudding. Continue reading

Cinnamon Streusel Pancakes
In one of my latest posts, Almond Joy Baked Oatmeal, I promised to feature more healthy and nutritious dessert recipes, so this afternoon I tried making a paleo pumpkin cookie recipe. Fortunately, they were wheat and dairy free; unfortunately, you could definitely tell. And because nothing is more disappointing that a less than tasty dessert, I had to try these cinnamon streusel pancakes to uplift my dejected taste buds. Continue reading
Almond Joy Baked Oatmeal
It seems like it’s been a while since I’ve posted because I just got back from a summer program at Yale! Now that I’m back home and ready to celebrate the final month of summer, you can expect a bunch of dessert recipes coming your way this upcoming August! Most of my stay in New Haven was characterized by innumerable frozen yogurt runs to escape sweltering heat, humidity, and non air-conditioned dorm rooms, but now I can also say that I definitely understand the “Freshman 15”…huge buffets for every meal make cookies, pasta, and vanilla almond granola just an extra scoop away. But now that I’m back (with some added pre-college padding) you might be noticing some more healthy dessert and breakfast recipe postings, but don’t worry, I won’t hold back on my usual indulgent, Paula Deen style recipes! Continue reading

Chocolate Chip Waffles
I’m free!!!!…from AP tests that is! While AP season consisted of two weeks studying in my bedroom (aka prison) and having sore fingers from an intense amount of frantic writing, at least I was able to enjoy some quiet mornings of good breakfasts…And if you follow my writing, you should know that I’m crazy for breakfast! After all, what ‘s better study fuel than these waffles with a heavy dose of chocolate?! Continue reading
Caramel Crepes (Panqueques con Dulce de Leche)

Happy New Year! I wanted to start the new year off right with my favorite meal: breakfast! I thought crepes would be absolutely perfect because I loved making the Nutella Crepes and because my family had some dulce de leche left in the fridge, which I wanted to use before my dad finished the whole can! When he was a kid, one of his favorite desserts in Argentina was “panqueques con dulce de leche”, or caramel-filled crepes. Continue reading
Nutella Crepes
It’s Winter Break!!!! Yay! (Now finals will no longer mandate my 2-week break from posting recipes!) I don’t know what’s more exciting: 1) that I’m on vacation or 2) that yesterday was the first time I tried Nutella! My friend Gemma swears by this delicious chocolate topping as she eats it from the jar in spoonfuls, but for some reason I’ve never tasted it before…a surprise, considering my dessert obsession!
